Things to Do:
There is always something to do on the mountain, so explore the opportunities – many weekends when the winds are right you can watch the hand-gliders jumping off the western escarpment on Main Western Road. Or relax, have a glass of champagne and watch the sunset from the many lookouts dotted along the western side of the mountain.
Being a farming community there is a variety of farms that sell their fresh produce from roadside stalls, so bring along a basket to fill. For those shoppers looking for that special gift then Nardoo lavender shop on Lahey Road is also worth a visit. They have the largest selection of high quality Australian and New Zealand lavender products in Queensland complemented by an eclectic range of giftware, collectables and garden accessories.
