Tamborine Mountain National Parks

Tamborine Mountain is famous for its National Parks and bushwalking, including Witches Falls National Park, declared the first National Park in Queensland in 1908.
Since then additional reserves have been established and today the park consists of 13 sections of land almost surrounding the Mountain and offering a variety of rainforest bush trails, with most tracks being around 3 klms long and taking under an hour to walk. Barbecue and picnic facilities are located in most Parks so you can relax and enjoy a picnic surrounded by eucalypts and cycad rainforests.
An abundance of animals and bird life live in the rainforests. The most friendly and colourful birds are the parrots, especially the aptly named Rainbow Lorikeets. You are also likely to spot local wildlife including rock wallabies, scrub turkeys, bandicoots and even koalas.
With an elevation of around 550 meters above sea level many lookouts include fantastic views, allowing visitors to enjoy uninterrupted views to the Great Dividing Range in the West or across to the Pacific Ocean in the East.
