This privately owned world class tourist attraction opened to the public in 2009 and takes Queensland eco-tourism to new heights. Set in 11 hectares of magnificent rainforest the Rainforest Skywalk towers 30 metres above the ground amongst the rainforest canopy with over 300 metres of stable, steel structured bridges providing the visitor with an extraordinary tree top experience.
It descends gradually to the lower canopy and follows points of interest including rockpools and waterfalls, a butterfly lookout, local history enclosure and sheltered rest areas along the way until reaching the amazing cantilever section. This 40 metre long span soars 30 metres above the valley, with spectacular views over the creek. Finally the walk returns along the rainforest floor to the Eco Centre, which has a comprehensive range of local fauna and flora information and displays.
The walk takes approximately 50 minutes and is suitable for all ages.
